Organization
Los Exes de la Bowie & Friends INC. was established in 1982 by residents of our community who share a simple belief: when we have the ability to help others, we have a responsibility to give back.
We offer 1 & 2 bedroom rental apartments for low-income families. We also donate college scholarships to Bowie High School graduates. We care about providing the most basic necessities of life, which is housing.

We are a grassroots organization created by the community, for the community. We may not have unlimited resources, but we believe that service, compassion, advocacy, and people working together can make a difference.

Affordable Housing
We provide affordable housing to members of our community and work to keep it accessible to those who need it most. We do not receive federal funding. Our work is sustained through our own resources, partnerships, fundraising and commitment to the community.
Scholarships & Education
We provide scholarships to deserving Bowie High School graduates to help them take their first steps toward higher education. We believe education can open doors, create opportunity, and change the trajectory of a life.
Community Partnerships
We often partner with other nonprofit organizations when we share common goals and values. By working together, we can amplify our impact and advocate more effectively for the people and communities we serve.
